Memory · Five layers, one system

Memory is the only asset a company owns that compounds.

Cofoundy doesn't just store files. It accumulates understanding. Every decision, document and signal your partners touch is structured, kept, and handed to the right partner at the right moment — without you thinking about it.

01

One company root every partner inherits.

Most tools forget when the tab closes. Cofoundy starts every session already knowing what you're building.

Your founding context — what the company is, what stage it's at, the constraints you've accepted and the decisions you've already made — lives at the root. Every partner reads it before doing anything. Ledger doesn't need to be told what you're building. Echo doesn't re-read the pitch deck. Direction flows down; finished work comes back up.

This isn't a summary pasted into a prompt. It's structured inheritance: each partner knows what the company knows, and keeps its own working memory on top. Nothing drifts and nobody needs re-briefing.

You shouldn't have to repeat yourself to your own team.

02

A thread per partner that only gets longer.

Each partner keeps its own long-running memory across sessions — separate from the others, and always additive.

When Ledger models a runway scenario, it picks up the burn rate you locked, the scenarios you threw out and the investor questions it already anticipated. When Echo drafts outbound, it draws on every positioning conversation you've had, not just the last one. Tally remembers vendors and the loops that keep the company running; Pitch remembers who said no and why.

It compounds the way institutional knowledge does in a real team — except this knowledge never resigns.

03

A knowledge base that builds itself.

Drop in a pitch deck today and it's context for every conversation from here on — indexed, versioned, and visible only to who you allow.

Cofoundy keeps a living library of every document, decision and signal you've given it. Files sit in two stores that never touch: a private store behind your login, and a shared store for things you've chosen to publish as permanent links.

Moving a file from private to shared is a deliberate action, never a default. You stay in control of what your partners can pass on in your name.

A library that knows what it knows — and what it doesn't.

04

A paper trail for every output.

You always know what your partners read, when they read it, and what came out the other end.

Every time a partner opens a file or loads a memory thread, that access is logged. Ask why a deck says what it says and you can trace it: which version of the model Ledger used, which customer call Echo quoted, which sprint plan Bolt pulled the roadmap from.

Partners can't reason from anything you haven't given them, and can't quietly keep using something you've taken away. Revoke a file and it's out of context next session. The trail is yours — readable, exportable, permanent.

  • Provenance on every output
  • Access logging
  • Revocable permissions
  • Exportable audit trail

05

Local files, without the upload.

Some things should never leave your hard drive. Cofoundy reads them where they live.

Connect the desktop companion and partners can read contracts, cap tables, spreadsheets and board decks straight from your machine — nothing is copied to a server. The reasoning happens in the session; the file stays put.

That's an architectural choice, not a workaround. Founders shouldn't have to choose between using their most sensitive documents and protecting them.

Intelligence without exposure is the only acceptable trade.

Memory that compounds from your very first line.

Every session picks up where the last one stopped. Every partner inherits what came before. Start the system that remembers your company becoming what it's meant to be.
